Our artists are experienced and fully qualified to microdermal implant procedures.

Microdermal implants can be placed practically anywhere on the surface of the skin on the body, but are different from conventional piercings in that they are composed of two components: an anchor, which is implanted underneath the skin, and jewellery that attaches to the anchor so it sits on the skin.

Implants can be placed just about anywhere on the skin – provided the artist believes the area is safe for you!

All candidates must be over the age of 18 years to undergo this procedure. Parental consent cannot be used in this instance.

Considering that an implant is a foreign objects in the body, it is not uncommon for the area to have redness. The trauma to the skin can also create redness in the area. Redness can sometimes last for months until the injury settles down.

  • Clean your dermal 1 -2 times per day with warm, salty water (make this in your kitchen, do NOT use sea water).
  • Do NOT apply lotions, creams, soaps or sprays to your dermal.
  • Keep the original jewellery in the dermal until it is fully healed. This can take up to 12 weeks. Do NOT remove the jewellery until healed.
  • Do NOT touch your dermal with your hands whilst it is healing. You can rotate it only when you are in the shower.

Even if all aftercare advice is followed, tattoo infections and body jewellery infections cannot always be avoided. If you suspect that your body art has become infected, please consult your GP immediately for assistance.
